New European interregional cooperation programme goes ahead

The new interregional cooperation programme 2014-2020 – Interreg Europe – is actually being shaped and will take the place of the actual Interreg IVc programme operative in the period 2007-2013.
The objective of the new programme is to support European regions in design and implement more effectively policies and programmes, aiming from one hand to structural and ionvesting funds for growth and job and on the other hand to the several programmes incfluded into the European Territorial Cooperation (ETC) stratyegy. The target will be pursued supporting exchange of experiences, knowledge and best practices among relevant stakeholders ion several European regions.
Actually a draft of the new operative programma is already available and a public consultation will been open till 21 March 2014 in order to collect opinions from relevant European stakeholders (i.e. local, regional, national authorities, economic and social parties, representatives of groups and civil society, included environmental partners, NGOs, etc.).
