04 Oct MEETING FOR PUBLIC VERIFICATION – PGI “MARRONI DEL MONFENERA”

Today, October 4, 2016, was held at the Municipality of Pederobba the public verification meeting for the edit the product specification of the “Marroni del Monfenera” PGI (protected geographical indication). Starter supported the Association of producers of “Marroni della Marca Trevigiana” in the preparation of the necessary documents to ask the European Commission to change the specification. Such changes concern the possibility of including in the PGI also chestnuts of small diameter (class II) and to be able to use different materials for packaging. The approval of the new regulations is expected in the first months of 2017.
