07 Dec INTERREG V-A ITALY-AUSTRIA IS APPROVED
On 30th November, the European Commission approved the new Interreg V-A programme that promotes Italy-Autria crossborder cooperation in 2014-2020.
The programme has a total budget of 98 million Euro, of which more than 82 million from the European Regional Development Fund.
The programme Priority Axes include:
1. Research and Innovation
2. Nature and Culture
3. Institutions
4. CLLD (community-led local development) – Regional development at local level
Interreg Italy-Austria is the only European Territorial Cooperation programme which relies on community-led local development (CLLD) through an active involvement of all local actors.
The programme area includes the Länder of Salzburg, Tyrol and Carinthia as well as the provinces of Belluno, Vicenza and Treviso in the Veneto region, the autonomous region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and the autonomous province of Bolzano. Compared to the previous programming period, the programme area has now been extended to incorporate all former flexibility areas.
