28 May COSME CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR TOURISM SECTOR
A COSME call for proposals has been published to support the competitiveness and sustainable growth of the European tourism sector (COS-TOUR-2015-3-04). The aim of this call is to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of tourism sector in Europe with initiatives that fall under the following themes:
- Increasing tourism flows in low/medium seasons for seniors and youth target groups
- Diversifying the EU tourism offer and products – Promoting transnational thematic tourism products
- Enhancing tourism accessibility – Improving facilities and services for tourists with special access needs.
Proposals will be submitted by consortia composed of at least 5 partners either from 4 eligible countries (when applying for Themes 1 and/or 2) or from 2 eligible countries (when applying for Theme 3).
To be eligible, a consortium will include:
- Two SMEs acting in the tourism sector
- A national or regional or local public governmental authority
- An association, a federation or an organisation operating in:
- the fields of youths or seniors (only for THEME 1)
- any of the following fields: sport, wellness, natural heritage, cultural heritage or industrial heritage (only for THEME 2)
- the field of accessible tourism or representing people with special needs (only for THEME 3).
Proposals will be submitted through the specific submission system. The deadline of this call is 30th June 5 p.m. (Brussels time).
