14 Jul 2014-2020 MED PROGRAMME: PUBLISHED THE TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR HORIZONTAL PROJECTS
The Terms of Reference for horizontal projects are available on the programme website. These projects will represent a link among the modular projects dealing with the same theme.
Through community building and the development of joint communication and capitalisation activities, horizontal projects will favour the creation of synergies among modular projects, in order to make their communication more effective and their results more visible on the transnational scale, with the purpose of helping them reach policy makers.
Horizontal projects will also represent the interface among the modular projects working on the same axis/objective and the “governance” platform financed in Axis 4.
Only one horizontal project will be financed per axis/objective. For Axis 1, which features only one specific objective, the following themes are foreseen:
- green growth
- blue growth
- creative industry and social inclusion
Partnerships will include maximum 6 partners from at least 3 member states and with headquarters in the MED area.
The selection procedure features 2 phases. The first phase will open on 1st October and close on 30th November 2015. Projects selected in the first phase evaluation, will be invited to apply for the second phase, which will open on 1st April and close on 31st May 2016.
Selected projects will have an initial duration of 36 months and a maximum budget of 1.2 million Euro. The projects’ duration will be extended for 36 months more, if it is considered as relevant.
More information is available in the official website.
